In the following rows we invite you to discover the complete history of Autoboca Rent-a-Car. From the early steps we made in 2008 to the professional heights reached in 2018, we managed to help clients enjoy professional car renting services.

Along the years, we moved pass challenges and problems, managing to give clients’ access to good quality cars. To mark the important milestone of 10 years of activity in the rent-a-car and leasing operational market, we thought it best to present you with a short company history. This is a good way for you to get to know us better and confidently access our services when you need to rent a vehicle.

2008 – Founding AutoBoca in Radauti city

Founding AutoBoca was determined by our desire to offer clients a professional and trustworthy rent a car service. Our road to quality started in Radauti city, where we began to offer car renting services to all that needed good cars for a specific period of time. Because we are a company with 100% Romanian capital, we have developed a professional service that clients can use without any problems whatsoever. In the starting fleet we only had 5 cars.

In Radauti respect for quality and professionalism matters and we managed to win people’s trust by offering them access to good cars. Furthermore, in the beginning, our first clients (friends and various acquaintances) were so pleased with our services that they recommend us to other people. Using the feedback we got from clients, we carefully developed a service that caught the attention of the local community.

2009 – Suceava Agency

Our first step in expanding at a regional level was done with the grand opening of Suceava office. This is where we had an initial fleet of 5 premium cars, with models like Audi TT and Mercedes Benz ML. Because we were able to impress our clients with the services given, we managed to extend our fleet by adding Dacia Logan into the offer. 

Due to our seriousness and passion for professional services, we attracted a new clientele. The success of our Suceava activity determined us to continue the extension process in Moldova region.

2010 – 5 employees + 3 collaborators in Botosani, Vatra-Dornei and Bacau

The 5 employees’ team of the firm managed to continue to offer professional car renting services in Radauti and Suceava. Due to the growing demand for Autoboca services in other cities in Moldova, we developed a collaboration system in Botosani, Vatra-Dornei and Bacau.

2011 – Bacau Agency

The opening of Bacau agency, at only 100 meters from the “George Enescu” international airport represented an important step in our desire to offer clients access to serious services. 

In addition, we started to work with collaborators in Onesti and Comanesti. This is how we wanted to make sure that the people in Bacau could use professional services with ease.

2012 – Iasi Agency and Bucharest Baneasa Agency

In 2012 we opened agencies in Iasi and Bucharest Baneasa, where people could access our services with confidence. The office in Iasi is set in the city’s old centre, at a 10 minutes walking distance from city hall. The Bucharest agency represented a premiere for us, because we extended Autoboca services in Romania’s capital city.

2013 – Otopeni airport agency; Operational Leasing division

Due to the success registered by Baneasa agency, we opened an office in Henri Coanda international airport (Otopeni), right in the hallway passage from the Arrival and Departures Terminals. Later on we have developed our own office in the immediate vicinity of the airport, in order to offer clients a breathing room after a long flight. This is where they are greeted by a free bottle of water, very appreciated during the hot summer season. From our new Otopeni office, clients can pick up and inspect the car in peace and without stress.

The year 2013 meant the development of a professional Leasing Operational division. At the dire demand of clients, we also developed trustworthy car renting services on medium and long term periods. The 3SLease package and the different operational leasing offers present various advantages to firms.

2014 – New administrative headquarters in Baneasa

The opening of the new administrative office in Baneasa coincided with the development of our accounting and marketing departments, while also consolidating the sales department.

2015 – Transylvania: opening offices in Cluj Napoca and Targu Mures

Welcome to Transylvania! Opening an office in Cluj Napoca, close to “Avram Iancu” international airport with a fleet that included 15 cars, was well received by clients who use frequently car renting services. Furthermore, we developed car renting services accessible for medium and long term periods of time. In the second part of the year, we opened an office in Targu Mures, also close to the airport.

2016 – 250+ cars in the fleet

AutoBoca fleet had over 205 cars. In order to accommodate different transport needs, we have included in the fleet minibuses, small cars, standard, compact and SUVs. Each client managed to find in our fleet a car perfect for the road ahead.

AutoBoca specialists undergo careful analyses on the cars that will be added in the fleet. We want to add in the fleet good models, which can be rented with ease by clients. The year 2016 was more than eloquent to this end because clients had the opportunity to explore Romania behind the wheels of top of the line cars. Additional details here.

2017 – New fleet with cars with automatic transmission + 150.000 users autoboca.ro

The year 2017 represented a premiere for our website because it was visited by over 150.000 visitors. They managed to browse the websites pages and blog and discovered interesting things about various cars and also about Romania. We always placed a lot of emphasis on the discovery of the authentic Romanian spirit. For this reason we have a special category in our blog, titled “Discover Romania”. This is where you will find interesting articles and gorgeous photos of various touristic objectives.

More than that, in the summer of 2017 we brought in our fleet cars with automatic transmission. Clients rented with pleasure VW Polo with automatic transmission, a superb car that surprises drivers with its flexibility. Many clients discovered some of the biggest Romanian towns behind the wheel of a safe and comfortable car, rented from us.

2018 – 10 years since our foundation!

AutoBoca is involved, for several years now, in many projects that sustain various causes: financing the construction of social homes, annual donnations to churches and religious institutions and also CSR campaigns to various ONG-s (ONG ADEE – financing therapy for children with autism). We are very happy that during this period of 10 years we developed an amazing digital family on Facebook. Over 7000 users follow our posts and we try to reward their loyalty with interesting articles, captivating videos (details on our YouTube channel) and fascinating news. In addition, we often use the Facebook platform to communicate with clients.
