Pick-up and return conditions
This is what you should know about picking up and returning the rented car.
There are a few details you should know when you pick up and you return the car rented from Autoboca. They are described below, in a very simple and clear way.
Picking up the car rented from Autoboca
You have the possibility to pick up the rented car from one of the 20 Autoboca agencies in Romania. Each agency has its own car park, therefore it is important to select the place from where you pick up the car, during the process of online renting.
Moreover, in case you want to pick up or to return the car at the airport, you should also take into account the transfer fee amounting to 20 euros.
We are also available for you to pick up or return the car during the non-working hours (from 18:00 to 22:00 and 07:00 -09:00), but you should know that for this service there is a delivery fee amounting to 10 euros for car pick-off and 10 euros for drop-off. More than that, for car pick-off and drop off in between 22:00 and 07:00 will be perceived a fee of 20 euros.
Documents necessary to pick up the car:
- valid identity document or passport;
- valid driving license.
Fuel when the car is picked up:
When you pick up the car from Autoboca, we fuel it up, therefore when you return it the tank should be also full.
Returning the car rented from Autoboca
The return takes place at the place, date and hour established together with the agent of Autoboca and mentioned in the rental agreement.
The service of delivery is available upon request and it depends on the availability of the agent. The requests for delivery should be sent at least 24 hours in advance. The cars are delivered free of charge during the working hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 – 21:00).
In case you want to return the car in a town different from the one where you picked it up, the delivery fee represents the value of the amount calculated automatically/manually between the kilometers between the respective towns multiplied by 0.20 euro/km. The calculation is for an average consumption rate of 7.5 l/100 km and 75 km/h.
In case you want to return the car on Saturday and Sunday – you should take into account a weekend fee of 10 euros.
For the difference of hours between pick up and return which reaches maximum 2 hours – there are not any additional fees. However, if the difference is more than 2 hours, you should pay a fee equal to 100% of the daily rental value.
In case you pay online, the system calculates automatically these differences depending on the selected hours (for example: pick up at 8:00 and return at 10:30, implying a delay cost of 100% of the daily rental value).
What happens in case of damages/accident?
When you cause damages to the car rented from Autoboca, you should announce immediately the agent and you should report the incident to the police authorities.
- If the damage/accident is caused by an unknown author:
You should obtain the License of Repair from the Police before returning the car.
- If the accident was caused due to your fault:
When you return the car, you should bring next to the License of repair from the Police, the report issued by the Police.
Moreover, you should fill in a written declaration at the office of Autoboca, at the moment of return.
- If the accident was caused due to your fault or to other driver’s fault:
You should fill in the amiable accident settlement or you should obtain the License of Repair from the Police together with the report and the copy after the insurance of the guilty part, if he/she agrees.

No matter who is guilty, it is your duty to check if all the damages established were mentioned in the License of Repair issued by the Police.
